What a lovely day! Started well with the wonders of technology and Face Time calls home (where it was last night! How confusing)
Then as Jay & Graeme had very kindly provided us with use of their car and sat nav (with the home address programmed in!!!) we boldly set out to explore.
We made it safely to the harbour area, parked up and enjoyed a morning strolling along the waters edge, paddling in the sea, playing in the sand, playing at the playgrounds, hiring a crocodile bike (4 wheeled pedal powered carriage) and eating ice cream - all in beautiful sunshine.
Then we had lunch and completely missed a half hour or so of rain!
In the afternoon we visited the museum near the harbour Te Papa, which is amazing and we all enjoyed the interactive exhibits.
After they got back from work we went to collect the newly clipped Monty (their adorable Sznoodle) from the vets. He is a lovely dog and the kids had a great time playing with him!
This evening we had a BBQ - Jay & Graeme's hospitality really is excellent. They have made us so welcome here!
Another late night talking about … everything! Families, work, children, dogs, rugby, politics - you name it!!!!
