Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy...and effin' hot, yo. This Texas place has my kind of heat though. The breeze is amazing! I'm currently enjoying the sun and breeze at my cousin's 5 star resort...oh wait. I mean his back yard. I haven't broken the news that I may not leave. I'll have to turn on the charm and figure out a way to make myself useful. I've ruled out yard work because, well, this is a really big yard, and I don't really have any handyman skills to speak of... So, on second thought, maybe I'll just snatch their well-appointed motorhome and live like a gypsy. Our travel day yesterday was slightly rough around the edges, so it's a good thing this place is so relaxing. My parents, niece, and I had a long day, but my brother and his wife had the full-on harrowing experience. The short version includes a motorbike breakdown, a few hours in an interstate ditch, and a late night arrival here. We were all glad that they ended up making safely, albeit completely exhausted. All is well today though, and everyone is just glad to be here enjoying each other. I'm apparently the strange one sitting alone in the direct sunlight. My sad little dirt and cement patio at my house isn't quite as welcoming as this nature preserve that I'm sitting in. Im not even minding some of the large bugs, which is progress for me. They have deer that just come into the yard. Deer! Yonder! No kidding. My cousin Derril (unfortunately I can't follow that with "and my other cousin Derril") just suggested that my sitting in the sun was a questionable activity. I'm drawing attention with my odd behavior, so I'll head back to the house.
