Trinidad and Tobago
Well, once again I am writing this in retrospect (in fact we are nearly a week behind now!). Anyway, on our first morning at Horaces beach house we awoke VERY early to the sound of screeching cockerels. This was shortly followed by blasting gospel music which continued for the next 2hrs! Not the best start but the view from the balcony soon put us in a good mood.
Breakfast consisted of omlettes, toast and fruit, a la Horaces helper. We then spent the day at the beach. The sea was awesome and sooooooooooo warm (in fact warmer than our showers - which were a nasty shock to the system). The waves stripped us (literally) of our dignity as we body surfed (some more successful than others) them up the beach. We got sand in places we never knew we had.
Other than a couple of rain intervals, which we spent in the sea whilst our bags huddled under an umbrella, we managed to make a good start on the tans.
Dinner was cooked by a lovely old lady (about 150yrs) in the village called Tanty. You get what you are given - some of us King fish, the others chicken. Sampled a chilli sauce wich burned my face off.
Finally there was a bit more liming and caribs before bedtime.
