(S) Up early after the late night and made the most of the buffet breakfast. I left Tim for day 2 of the conference, another tough 5hr day for him..!
Having already seen many sights I took today as a 'rest day' consisting of some lunch, gym, steam room, hot pool and capped off in the roof top pool while waiting for Tim to finish. He joined me by the pool and we relaxed while the sun set over the city.
(T) FREE NIGHT! No events tonight so off in search of some great food away from the other tourists. We grabbed a taxi and headed into the China Town precinct to a Hawkers market we'd read about, Great decision. As the only 2 obvious tourists we searched the food stalls not knowing how or what to order but the end result was brilliant. Two huge bowls of noodles, a big bottle of beer and a coke all for a grand total of $14.50!! A pint in the tourist spots hits up to $16 alone. We did learn a lesson though: a little bit of chilli in Chinatown = a lot of chilli to us!
The night was capped off by checking the map and deciding to walk home instead of a taxi. A half hour walk through Chinatown, the financial district skyscrapers and around the Marina Bay has us all set for a very welcome pre-midnight bedtime.
