sarah's travels
Dehli, India
The first two weeks have gone by so fast!!! It is very hot here and dusty!!! afternoon naps have become a necessity! We are living in a kinda flat above a family who are really nice and very helpful! There are 6 of us sharing and so far it's been good!!!
The school is bigger than i thought it would be! We start work at 7am and finish about 1pm! i am sharing my time between the special education class and the kindergarten!
Yesterday Sarah and I also got roped into giving a speech to about 50 15year olds about english schools, culture, how we are enjoying india and what education path we chose! a little scary but it seemed to go alright!
a typical day in india includes having an arguement with a rickshaw driver about the prices, being stared at as we walk down the road and getting very grubby!
the children at school are so polite, each one of the kindergarteners came and said hello or good morning to me and shook my hand when i was introduced!
went to SOS village today which is a children's village and gives a home to about 200 children, there are a 20 homes and a mother in each home! it was lovely!
