Halong bay equals paradise! What amazing sights! It's number 2 in the top natural wonders of the world & I can see why! We did a 2night trip here, got aboard our boat with our tour guide ken! Walked through a cave, kayaked round the huge rocks & floating villages, had a swim on 1 of the bays all on day1 then had dinner & drinks on board our boat, wonderful food! I shared a cabin with a German girl, Lucy! Next day up at 645 for breakfast, visited a pearl farm where we learnt how they produce the pearls from oysters, on to another island & went bike riding through to a local village for an hour, then lunch on board boat, then jumping off the top deck into the water & swam to another secluded bay & back again! We were then dropped off to a bay where we stayed overnight in a beach bungalow, the sand was white & squeaky as u walked, absolutely stunning! We kayaked some more, swam & relaxed! There were 10 of us staying there so had dinner & drinks and lots of laughs! We were allowed to borrow the kayaks quickly to go out a hundred yards in the pitch black to see the glittering of the algae, we ran our hands through the water & it glistened as we did, sparkles everywhere, it was truly magical & special. Up for breakfast today at 645 & picked up by out boat & ken, cruised back to the harbour! Met some great people on the trip! As we speak I'm on the coach heading back to Hanoi which takes 4hours, then we're waiting to catch our sleeper coach for couple of hours on to ninh binh!
