Arrived in Krabi last night. First impressions are good. The hostel we stayed at, Sleep club is amazing, so rustic and cool interior, right up my street. We all watched a film last night as too tired to do anything else. We got told off for being too loud, well not us the DVD. We thought how old we are that we aren't being told off for being drunk and noisy, but just for the tv being too loud haha. Also I'm really not good at getting down from the top bunk.
Went for breakfast at krabi-coffee-shack this morning, was the cutest little place and nice and cheap.
So we only had a few hours before our flight this evening, we had to quickly decide what we wanted to do. We settled on the Tiger Cave Temple for a nice bit of culture. Well, the temple was 1260 steps (and I'm talking some steps being at a 90 degree angle at times) high. Every inch of my skin was sweating, to the point I'd lift up my arm and it would drip from my elbow. So attractive.
The views from the top were pretty amazing though, and I seen my first monk. Rain came in pretty quick so we had to make our way down. Was well worth the workout.
Just waiting for our taxi now to take us to the airport to catch our flight up to Chiang Mai. Sarah and I are off to spend our week volunteering at the Elephant Nature Park. Big moment, I've wanted to do this for a very long time.
