Yesterday was absolutely beaut. Gorgeous weather and after doing some laundry in the morning we spent the day on the beach. I even managed to pick up my book for the first time this trip.
Went out for some food in the evening. It's dead here after half 7 but we managed to find a little Thai place for dinner.
So today has been one of my favourite days so far...
This morning I found the energy to do a bit of exercise for the first time in two weeks. Did a run along the beach, so hard with the heat (even at 7:30am) and running on sand. Felt good though. Skyped mum and dad. Standard scrambled eggs and beans for breakfast and we checked out of the campsite. Possibly been my favourite one so far. Loved the beach being on the doorstep.
Me and Chels have noticed the further south we have gone the more surfy the people are. Started to see a lot of people with dreads and guys shouting across the street if they are going to catch a wave. I love it!!!!!
On that note, me and Chels went for a surf lesson this morning with Reef 2 Beach, the $17 surf school. My first ever go at surfing. Yet another bucket list ticked! Was amazing, fell in a lot, but also had a good few goes at standing. So tiring so 3 hours was enough. Can't wait to give it another go.
We then took a drive out into 1770 town and onto a lookout stop. Parked up and took a short walk (using my walking shoes - thanks Matt and Leanne) to Bustard Bay lookout. It's hard to try and even explain how amazing the views were. 300 degrees of it was just ocean. Breathtaking! Then we drove back into town for a shandy with a view at a little bar, then to the beach to watched the sunset. Was all very romantic.
Having failed trying to sneak back into the campsite showers earlier I then took a shower on the beach with the sunset as back drop, was pretty awesome.
Well that's Agnes Waters done. Back in our camper and back on the road :)
