What can I say...I am coming here again!!
Arrived in fiji and spent a night getting used to the fijian way of playfights and loud laughing and just generally having fun at every second in the nadi bay hotel. Next morning up for breakfast and to the bay where running on fiji time (any time they fancied) we climbed aboard our boat and were dropped off on beachcomber island (via a few other islands) for our 2 nights worth of sunning and entertainment. AMAZING!! You could walk round the island in 5 minutes, and all that was there was a huge bar and dining room, all outside with sand floors and steps up to our dorm which we shared with 130 other people...it was so much fun, met some brilliant people, got nice and burnt and bummed about reading and drinking cocktails...
Reluctantly dragged off and onto another boat and taken 2 hours north to the yasawa islands where we passed some amazing island with indigenous fijians living there reminding us that we were in a third world country even if it was an astoundingly gorgeous one and were picked up by a little tin motor boat and taken to mantaray island where we had welcome cocktails and basically relaxed for the next 3 days, bumping into people we'd met on other islands and in new zealand, having the best food ever, making coconut bracelets, snorkelling and going to visit soso village (again by tiny tin motor boat which was lashed around the ocean alongside mantarays flapping at the surface)...I cant tell you how amazing this week has been, I cant justify it but this place is gorgeous and well worth the other side of the world length travels!!
