Hola chicos!!!
Well, I am still alive although the laundry is really staring to challenge that aspect of my life (the alive bit, I mean)! The work is insane, and stressful and really too much. Every day is a race against time, and every second day something seems to make me cry (I have turned into a bit of a living water fountain, press the right - or wrong - button and I start pouring out the tears!!). But I think I have reason enough to be a tad stressed; I can't speak much of the native language, I have an incredibly high responsibility job, and I can't access my money because I have lost my new pin and the bank wn't give it back to me unless I come in in person (unfortunately they close at 2 every day and I work til at least 4..hmm). Lee-Ann has given me some pay in advance though and I'm not starving yet!! Life is still good though, the summer is pretty much religion over here, evey night heaps of people (hundreds) stream to various beaches to watch the sunset. I have been to both Sant Antoni and Benniras to do the same and it's a lot of fun (pretty amazing having a few hundred beach-goers watch the sunset and applaud it's disappearance! very cool! Benirras was very cool, with two groups of drummers playing all afternoon and into the night, Soren would have loved it (except for all the people maybe). I had my very first ride on a jetski the other day (apparently the fastest and most powerful yamaha around) and it was soooo fun!! Suni and I missed the staff boat, so Marc took us to port on the jetski and went very fast because he knew I hadn't been on one before!! Fun fun!! (Also a bonus having to cuddle up to a cute spanish captain!) The villa is going well, Cayetana has moved in which is a lot of fun. The laundry does have some good aspects. I don't have to wear shoes and can be a barefoot ragamuffin all day, the waiters feel sorry for me and sneak me drinks through the window (fresh orange juice and grapefruit juice the last three mornings from Franco, Yannick and Cayetana!!), Cayetana snuck us sangrias the other day and we both got quite tipsy - luckily I didn't turn th uniforms pink, I think Lee-Ann would have had her baby right there and then if I had! I get to spend a lot of time with Cami and Lorena who help me out so much with tips and a lot of help with the lountain of ironing!! They are my saviours!!
So life is ok, I get along well with eveyone, can't wait to finish and travel around again and never iron ever again!!! x
