Day 1. And we can't wipe the grins from our faces as we stroll the superbly beautiful streets of Paris. We are both already in love with this place, the architecture, the quaint and amazing cafes and restaurants not to mention the boutique design stores and giant antique doors every second step, and oh yeah the history!! Its presence and story is thick and powerful in this great city! We are staying in 'le Marais' a charming area of Paris which I'm already calling my favorite though I'm sure this could change tomorrow as we continue to explore! But this is one of the oldest areas of Paris thus my choosing to stay there and in talking with the French they say you can't get more 'paris' than 'Le Marais'.
Though exhausted from the long long flight we are too excited to sleep just yet so we hired bikes rode along the seine and just embraced being gawky tourists who just kept saying wow and almost running into people 1. Because its just too hard not to stare at everything as you ride by and 2. Because no one seems to move! despite the fact that you're ringing the bike bell an unnecessary amount of times ha ah well.
Our flight to china was awesome (china southern airlines) we were quite literally 'giddy' with excitement which helped the hours go by and enjoyed being one of the only caucasians on the entire flight - And being stared At every time we kissed or laughed out loud! Though after a few hours the plane turned into a free for all market stall as they all jumped up and walked around talking to each other and sprawling across each other - was quite a funny scene! I also personally enjoyed the stretching session they do on these flights at the end-such a good idea!
