Still in La Barra, Punta Del Este, I think we are going to leave Monday and head up the coast.
At last we heard some good music last night Luciano was at the Crobar, it was really good. Good music and atmosphere, with a great sound system. In true Argentinian style we jumped the huge queue, these people love to dance.
The beaches are beautiful, though Im not too turned on with the glitzy San Tropez vibe it has. The bars are sponsored by Volvo or BMW etc and there are beautiful cars propped up outside the bars. Initially I was like is this a car showroom or a bar?? Now I am used to the fact you can buy a convertible with your cocktail. Simone you would love it!!
Lots of oldies trying to lure me on their yachts - which makes me feel queasy. Girls I need back up, Jons trying to pimp me out to the highest bidder. The girls love him and he is gutted he hasnt any Spanish. A Uruguayan man told him off for this the other day, which dented his pride a little. Hes starting to pick up words, taking me a while to get my ear around the way they talk.
All these Gael Garcia Bernal lookalikes are getting really tiresome.
An American backpacker asked us yesterday what latitude we are on, and I replied errrmmm I know that we are in Uruguay.
