On the journey through Switzerland on to Italy there was a tunnel through a mountain. It was just not any tunnel.
Right before entering we noticed traffic got very heavy, to the point of stand still. There were traffic light positioned horozontally in the air above the two lanes of traffic. Ever so slowly they let traffic one by one merge together to form one lane. For a reason, the gradual procession of traffic limited accidents in the tunnel, because once it happened it would be very hard for emergency services to come to the rescue. Why? Because this one way tunnel was 17km long.
Upon exiting the language spoken was now Italian, with a twang.
I think if I want to learn many languages I should travel around Switzerland for a while.
I'll think about it, as I dont really think I experienced Switzerland and dont know what its truley like.
But I know its beautiful.
