Hello!

We've arrived in Bangkok!!

We went to a traditional Thai market (where we were the only English people there!), and where they sold everything from a puppy to a gun - interesting! We then headed to Khao San Road, v.popular with backpackers! Tempted to sample some fried scorpians, but instead opted for a quick snack and some Thai beer!

This morning we walked to the Grand Palace, The Temple of the Emerald Buddha, the Standing Buddha, and Wat Pho. We got acosted by some bird feeders who forced bird feed in our hands until we got attacked by a swarm of pigeons! Then they tried to make us pay for the delightful experience! Needless to say we did not! We ventured through the city in a Tuk Tuk (avoiding the infamous 'gem scam'), which as an experience as Thai drivers are ridiculously dangerous!

Its lovely and hot, and now we're off for some food and a drink on the Khao San Road! (Beth may even be tempted by the scorpian tonight!) haha
