We arrived in London after 30 hours of travel. Exhausted and a bit cranky we dragged our bags up 8 flights of stairs to find single bunk beds in our room. So back down to reception we go. Once we were given the right room ( the double bed we booked). We used our last ounce of energy to carry our bags up to the third floor. Things I have learnt: -It's too late to take a tablet once the motion sickness has kicked in. - don't leave until the last moment to wake the lady beside you to let you out - even though you're in a rush to get to the toilet it's always a good idea to lock the door, to avoid the awkward moment where the middle aged man walks in and freezes in horror. - oh and dont vomit into the sink as it takes way too long to go down. So satrurday was a crazy day of getting organised, packing, cleaning, unpacking, repacking- you get the picture. So by the time we arrived at the airport we were exhausted and not at all enthusiastic about our trip. The plane trip to Dubai was 14 hours long! After a movie and some dinner I slept for an hour before walking up to about 4 hours of turbulence ( note to self: travel calm will not cover entire trip! ) To be continued...
