Hi guys and gals,
Havent been on here for a while so have a lot to update you on! The main events being seeing lots and lots of seals (hence the pictures), a glimpse of a humpback whale, a bus drive from hell due to a very over friendly and very loud talking American College Student named Fabien who followed us on to 3 different buses to Monterey and talked at us all the way! Conversations mainly centred around his love for the UK such as "Did you go to the royal wedding?, I got invited but decided not to go!!!",and "I love the colours in the UK flag" - That would be red, blue and white then which as far as i am aware are the colours in your flag also!!!??? Never right!! If you havent seen the film due date, watch it and that was us for 4 hours!! However it was worth it as Monterey was beautiful. We hired bikes and took a scenic route down the coast through pebble beach and did a day trip to Carmel and had a fantastic lunch with a very over the top waiter (Gabriel), which of course Dan lapped up and they spent the entire time telling each other how great they were!! Very Funny!! On to San Luis Obispo which was very quite and uneventful except for the drunken night at the farmers market where i was introducing the yanks to the fantastic jammy dodger shot. If the guy asked me once if England really has biscuits that taste like that he asked me 100 times...think he will be visiting just to try them!! We arrived at Santa Barbara on Friday and have mainly chilled out taking in the scenery and meeting some good people - a highlight being john who works at the hostel who lets just say may not be the sharpest tool in the box but what he lacks in brains he makes up for in sense of humour and pointless knowledge! Great hostel though with a manager who looks like Robbie Savage...Keeeeppp Dancing!! Been to our first ever basketball game at the Uni which was great entertainment...Dan particularly enjoyed the cheerleaders!! And so the journey continues...Big Sur tomorrow then on to San Diego so will be in touch soon!!
You have a great Day now!!!!!
