China was an amazing adventure, much much better than we had expected, which was a lovely surprise. just got off 12 hour sleeper coach to hong kong. going out for plush dinner tonight thanks to ma and pa! very excited about that. will be on skype and online each night between 4-6 gmt pm each night if you want to get in touch. we are 7 hours in front. byeeee

Hello.  China so far has been amazing and oh so vast. It's really easy to get around as the train and bus networks are so thorough. Beijing was immense with massive sky scrapers and loads of history. we visited Tiananmen square which had hundreds of security cameras and police on segways! hello all just come back from a 7 day trip into the gobi desert. sleeping in gerrs (shown in the picture!). it was really fun and we got to see eagles, desert mice, camels, horses, sheep and goats! walked on a sand dune and climbed up some cool rocks. we are both quite tired but looking forward to the next adventure trip on horse back for 12 days in the north and more lush lands of Mongolia. hopefully when we get to beijing I will be able to post some photos ...
