We took the bus from the Cameron Highlands straight through to KL - this took us around 5ish hours, so not too bad. We arrived at KL bus stop and waited for a taxi (they must of seen us coming - literally) we were charged about 4GBP to go 5 mins (walk) up the road! We all thought it was a good deal at first because we had no idea where the hotel was; little did we know that it was just up the road!!!!(Please excuse the bold text I have no idea what I've done to the computer but I can't take it off!!) However, all was forgotten in an instant when we arrived at the hotel!!! The hotel that Linda had booked us into was absolutely amazing! It was a 4 star hotel right in the centre of KL; our rooms (that were joining rooms) looked out on to the KL tower and the city below. We were just so impressed with the fact that our room had a bath (!!!!) and free shampoo & toiletries! Oh happy dayz!!! Anyway, we dumped our stuff and had lunch in the rather swavy cafe in the hotel, then later on we went for a walk round 'China town'. They sold every type of counterfeit designer bag, watch, wallet etc you can think of (if you receive a Christmas present of me this year please forget that last sentence!). As you can imagine it was a very lively part of town (We returned to the china town later on in our journey after the Perhentian Island with some friends and ended up in a back packers hostel that wasn't really that nice and on the last night we were there, we were chased out of our room by an over zealous cockroach). On our second day in KL we all woke up just in time for the buffet breakfast this was almost the highlight of the day for me and Sarah, it was obviously a lot better than the free bread and jam that we'd been used to getting from hotels! After breakie we went to the KL tower (Linda managed to get some discount off her entry fee here but I won't tell you how) - it was an amazing view of the whole city, it did rain a little whilst we were up there but not for long, and the sky cleared quickly - so we could see the whole cityscape. After the kL Tower we went to the Merdeka Square and had a walk round in the sun. We then went for a walk trying to find the city mosque; however we got a little lost and somehow found our way back to the hotel. That evening we had dinner at an Iranian restaurant which was bloody lovely! The next day we were up early to start queuing for the Patronas Twin Towers. The towers were really beautiful, from outside and in. The views here were just as amazing as the KL towers! After the towers we took a taxi to the Lake Gardens and had a ride round the park on a shuttle train/bus thingy... I got bitten by massive mozzies and probably sulked like a small child (sorry Mrs. T and Vic). That evening we had dinner at the hotel, very nice, Vic had oysters! None of us are 100% sure but we think we either got away with out paying for the drinks or there was some kind of mix-up with the prices - but none the less something was free(ish)...... TBC
