The Great Escape
Northern Territory: Darwin, Kakadu & Litchfield National Parks
Temperature: 38 °C, Humidity : 75%, Rain : LOTS
Wildlife: Jumping Crocs, Water Buffaloes, Wallabies, Eagles and blue-tongued lizards
Highlights: Steve "extreme" camping, one of the tour members getting bitten by a VERY poisonous snake and being rushed to hospital, Steve sacrificing himself to mosquitoes, and Susanne to sandflies, beautiful waterfalls, vistas of the Nat. Park.
Disappointments: Half of Kakadu NP being half closed to extreme flooding, Darwin being as pricey as London
Other: Struggle of the Aboriginal people and culture.
Thoughts: Ironic how Darwin's Theory seemed to miss Darwin itself.
