Gday!

I am in Australia! I am off to Ramsey Street tomorrow, you've just got to see it, haven't you?!

Wednesday, I am flying up to Cairns. Rainforest and Tropics. Have something planned for there but more about that when it is done!

The weather is really good at the moment, warm but comfortable. Went to the Docklands area yesterday. I always try and choose a boat when I go to these places but impossible here, they were all pretty coo'!

It is a good job that I like Australia as I really really did not want to leave Singapore(especially since the rain calmed down). At one point, I thought of refusing to board the plane! You have everything, chinatown, little india, the malay culture, the british. did you know and apparently it still happens in singapore today, that some malay men do not have to attend their wedding cermony in order for the marriage to be official as long as his dagger is there. See, I was serious about educating myself!

It was the Singapore Fashion Festival when I was there andcaught a couple of fringe festivals. Lots of bowler hats for men and women, they actually looked really good on the runway. dunno what they'll look like on mere mortals like me though!

Also spent some time on Sentosa, lots of families and attractions but quite exotic beaches which was a change cos I was surprised to find not many beaches in Singapore(or acessible ones anyway). Ooh. . . also lots of shops in Singapore and I dunno if it is the same in Uk but TopShop there, have a baby section. Very cute! You might want to check it out, Claire (and all the other pregnant people out there)!
