I am currently sitting in hotel room in Kenya after 22 hours of plane flights, and awaiting another at 7 o'clock in the morning. We leave the hotel at 5:30 am. At the moment, Sam is having his first shower since Thursday night (don't even ask), while I type this by a window overlooking a game park. At the hotel, they checked for bombs under the car, X-rayed our luggage, and sent us through a metal detector. This was the first time I've ever had to do this upon entering a hotel.
Our flight from Auckland to Sydeny was non-eventful, although the seats infront of us were taken up by noisy Americans who didn't know how the work the screen display. Turns out they thought it was touch screen. I think that they must have been a musical group, because they all had instruments with them, and from what I could tell, mostly brass ones. Dave and Rob met us in Sydeny, and we had a couple of hours in their Elizabeth Bay apartment while they packed. We went to Billy Kwong for dinner, and had a delicious meal where we just ordered a whole heap of entrees and some cantonese fried rice.
The flight from Sydeny to Abu Dhabi was long, but I managed to get some sleep, which was great. We spent an hour or two in the lounge at Abu Dhabi Airport, and then we caught our next plane to Kenya. The man behind us snored the whole flight, but I did manage to get another hour or so of sleep.
Sorry there is no photos yet guys, but the inside of planes aren't the best subject matter. Sam might find some to put on his post, though.

Dad A lovely update Georgia - thanks for that. Can you see any animals from the hotel?
Kate taylor Wow, bomb detectors and X-rays on entering the hotel.... That's a first. Do you think next time they may have a smell-o-screen for younger brothers who haven't showered recently? What do you eat for breakfast in Nairobi? I am pleased you enjoyed BK... Thought you would. Can't wait to hear all about it so don't forget what you ate! Have a good sleep ready for your early start. Monday morning here and we are just getting ready for work. Munster gave me a wet muddy smooch and ate two breakfasts. He's gone to sleep now. Mumxxxx
B Hi George & Sam. Great to hear about your flight long, but at least you have more room in business class. Why is it that Americans are so often noisy? Where did you go this morning at 5.30? Look forward to Hearing all about it Luv
Mary Taylor Well a lot of adventures already! not a moment to be bored! By now you should have finished travelling and started the real fun things and had a real sleep so look forward to the next instalment love Granny
