Hello again! We finally made it to San Francisco after a horrendous first Greyhound trip! We got to the Hollywood station an hour before the bus was due to leave to find it closed so we couldnt get a ticket and then waited another hour cos it was late! we didnt know whethyer to give up but didnt fancy walking back along hollywood boulevard at 11pm at night so sat there! it eventually came thank god i dont think ive ever seen Sam so happy and they let us on with our passes but the coach was freezing and it wasnt until half way through that we realised our seats went back arghhhhh!! Plus i managed to get whiplash or something from the Mummy ride at Universal (i think it was when thoses things that crawl under skin were all over me and i screamed my head off) so was in agony! We managed to sleep a little and the view of San Francisco was amazing when we came over the bridge which almost but not quite made up for it! We took a cable car ride down to to Fishermans wharf where we saw the Golden Gate bridge and Alcatraz island and wandered there for a while (it really is cold by the water) before walking miles to find a bar that that was showing the footie! Sam was glued to the game even though the building opposite was burning down! ok a bit of an exaggeration but there was at least 7 fire engines and a lot of smoke Never been sooo glad to check into the hostel though we got in and crashed out for hours There really is a lot of homeless people in San Francisco Hey! Tis Sam now. You feel sorry for the homeless people until they roar at you and jump out at you screaming like banshees!! Laura didn't mention that at Universal studios we got drenched in the coke fountain bit and danced and sang ourselves dry, I think the Americans thought we belonged in the Freak Show around the corner! The cable cars are lethal if u can't get a deat, u have to hang on for dear life hanging off the edge and keeping your elbows tucked in or some random car will knock u off! We are gonna attempt to upload the photos now (may go horribly wrong) and there are a few that were taken just for a few special peeps so have a look!
