After a completely sleepness flight we landed in Sydney. We went through a grilling immigration process where I felt upmost nervous having packed 3 tea bags from our hotel in Hong Kong and not declaring them. We were okay! We got a train to Circular Quay where we are staying. The trains are double deckers and thus a bit strange. Many people stopped and asked us if we were okay and if we needed help getting somewhere! Very friendly people or we looked extremely lost! After a long, not required journey round the our hostel thanks to myself we made it! At ground level of the hostel is all of the rocks as they have not altered them - Luke asked if it was even completed! It is very much completed, its all new and clean and lovely! Ollie, Joe and Jo say its one of the best they have stayed in. We had a major catch up of events etc from the past few months. We then went out to to rocks, down to circular quay, we looked at the harbour bridge, crossed it and came back. We then went to to the Opera House and then walked around the Royal Botanical Gardens. We saw an outdoor resistance gym which was cool! We need to get one of these at work! The botanical gardens were full of birds - a nightmare for me! And in many trees there were bats which are about as big as birds and also disgusting! We saw cockatoos along the journey! Views of all of these iconic things are beautiful from all angles. One man was playing a digeredoo which is really wonderful! We then walked to a supermarket to buy breakfast, lunches and tea for the next fews day. We hadnt expected to be cooking for ourselves but it is nice!
