We are 7 hours ahead of UK time now which has thrown our sleeping patterns. Watched the lovely bones and new moon on the plane with free drinks, dinner & breakfast! We would both like to upgrade for our remaining flights but are not sure how affordable this is! Hong Kong airport was really efficient! We very quickly were put through immigration - the man at the desk laughed at my photo - this did no impress me! We picked our luggage up from the belt straight away and went through to the airport express line to get the train to Kowloon where we got a taxi to our hotel! The trains and MTR are very clean, fast and efficient! London is very behind compared to this! The traffic lights make bleeping noises when you are not to cross and a fast beep noise when you are meant to cross - this made me panic and rush inline with the noise the first time! The MTR that we were located near was Prince Edward. Our room was pea size, I could near enough touch all walls from the middle of the room. We were not impressed but as Luke said - its only to sleep in! We then got the MTR to Central where we walked and found the peak tram and took it up to the Peak - the tram was more like a rollercoaster! We had a wait before we could get on it too! The views at the top were worth the wait as they were beautiful! Pictures dont really do them justice! We ate at Cafe Deco with a window seat and watched as night set accross the sky scrapers. We then went back down to the MTR and on to find the Peninsula Hotel so that we could go to the Felix bar. It was a gorgeous/expensive bar! The hotel's helicopter pad was used in filming The Dark Knight. In the mens toilets there was a urinal and glass infront of it with views of the city - Luke said it felt very strange like he was wee-ing off of a sky scraper. The add a 10% service charfe onto everything which is okay as service is really good. Hong Kong is not what I had imagined! It is hard to explain! One other memorable thing of the day was a girl walking straight into a door - we felt sorry for her as she looked like she really hurt herself - it was on the other hand quite funny though!
