After another late wake up we left! We went to Sik Sik temple, both were a tad disappointed and left! We didnt want to disturb people who were worshipping either! We set off to Big Wave Bay which is near to Shek O. We went about getting a bus - the first bus driver being outright rude to us more or less shooing us off of his bus! We got another bus after this! We pressed the button when we saw the mini roundabout like the book said to, and we got off - the bus driver told us it would be a 10 minute walk to the beach! It was however in my opinion 2 hours trekking! It was down a mountain, on a stoney, narrow lane that has more or less been made into a walking path. It was hell for me! We had no idea it was going to be so long! I winged the whole way down - I think I cired twice dispairing. On one occasion I felt something go over my foot - Luke behind me as I had decided to march infront said "oh my god Sammy, you just stood on a snake!" This was obviously what I felt go over my foot. I chose not to go and look at the snake! Luke also saw lizards on our way down! Nothing can describe this hellish journey for me, Luke did so well putting up with me! The beach at the bottom, 1 of the top 50 in the world was lovely! Lovely sand & sea! A few phone calls to Breanna we had arranged a meeting point and we headed back to get changed before setting out to Causeway Bay where we got a taxi to the Hong Kong Yaught Club. This was a private club on HK Island and we were lucky to be there! We saw Breanna, Paul & Kerry, ate and drank with them and had some really nice conversations! We had a buffet tea, some nice red wine and watched the symphany of lighst on Kowloon go on at 8pm ( A lazer light display that seems like a major waste but nice to watch non the less). We then got a taxi to the star ferry and got the ferry across to Kowloon! Luke made me laugh as he was not sure if we were on the ferry or not as he was a tad tipsy! We went into harbour city - a shopping centre and did a spot of shopping and then got the MTR back home! Luke had suggested we buy cookies as a treat, we bought 3 - and found out you got 3 free! Good times! Luke at 4 though! A really long day! Looking back it made me laugh!
