Ok i haven't been very good at keeping up to date with this but i promise to do better. This is more about the eventful flight with Air China, quite good but out of about 500 people there were only 10 europeans. So here goes for the first instalment of the next chapter of my life. I'm currently in the airport waiting for a flight to Beijing to start a new teaching job. Its a huge step since I'm used to floating around the oceans on a ship so being land based will be a whole new experience for me. Well had a very funny day in Curacao, Hired a buggy and went for a small road trip around the island. Found some flamingos, lots of mud and a very beautiful beach all in a days work. the flamingos were great from what i saw as i spent about 10 seconds having to do an army roll out of some mud that i had got stuck in but with only one leg, i was obviously thinking i was a flamingo, noone saw this happen so noone could laugh at me apart from those who saw the state...

Well Aurora slowly navigated the Panama Canal managing only to hit the side once, well done Captain as it is a very tight squeeze for a boat of this magnitude. anyway saw a croc along the way but not very much else apart from the canal, hills and forest. it was a very hot day too so didnt spend a great deal of time outside.
