Well as you can see its been a really busy time with things to do in Beijing. We spent some time at the Summer Palace which is where all the royals used to go in the summer to get out of the Beijing heat. Very beautiful place and toatlly run down which id quite understandable considering what these places went through many years ago.
Next on we popped into the Lama Temple which is where the Dalai Lamas spend a bit of their time during their monkhood. It was very grand and in each temple the buddhas just got bigger and bigger until they were touching the ceiling.
After that stop it was time to head to the train station to collect the next train to Xian, what an experience that was. All the locals were fascinated by the fact that i had a rip in my jeans and that Hannah was so tall. Very funny lots of stares going on. Anyway we thought we would get some food so opted for noodle soup with chicken, i then tried to order fried rice with chicken and hannah and i eneded up with chilli chicken which was all wrong and way too hot.
I dont know if the locals stare at me alot what they going to be like when the Olympics come here next year which is a whole new story. It really doesnt look anywhere near being ready and the road system is a total nightmare.
