it feels like a long time since i wrote. me and tom had a great time in chile in a really nice hostel. sat by the pool, had a good time trying to cook chilean food on an extremely low budget and resorted to living off rice, and porrige mixed with strawberry milkshake, but the chilean wine was good!-which was probably the reason we cooked the food so badly! the people we met were also great and we had a wicked time.
now tom's in new zealand with laura and ive been in fiji for ages. did a group tour of the island with a bunch of mostly british gappers and had a blast- did body boarding, sandboarding down a dune, lots of local fijian kava ceremonies, bonfires on the beach, a trek through the jungle which was actually mostly a river, floating down a river in a tube, jumping off a waterfall, bili bili rafting, playing rugby in a river against a bunch of fijians (i nearly broke my jaw) hermit crab racing where the winner wins a beer-im pretty sure mine was just a shell, visiting an orphanage and playing footy agaisnt them whre we again got thrashed, sitting in a natural mud pool followed by a natural hot pool.
we had a great time and some of us had spare time in fii so we booked a few days on one of the remote islands- so we spent easter day and the next day in baking heat on a desert island it was great! there was also free snorkel gear and the coral reefs were increadible, with hundreds of fish, crystal water and huge corals. the bar and food were good too and the music covers the live band played were pretty interesting!
having a great time -hope easter back home has been as good as it was out here!
i will put the pics up as soon as poss!
