Hi Guys!!!
Hope everyone is well!!!! Apologies for taking my time with this entry just been doing so much and cramming so much in to our itinary and obviously having lots of fun too!
Well to let you know what Ive been up to-we left Bangkok last Thursday (thank god) and ventured south by sleeper train again-have to say not such a nice experience whilst you have D & V!!!! But it was worth it when we arrived at Koh Sok National Park-this place is like a mini paradise with massive cliffs and bright blue lagoons.
We arrived mid morning on the first day at Morning Mist our Jungle bungalows were just gorgeous and we spent the afternoon racing arond the rapids in these dohnut things it was so funny to see a group of 13 trying to cling onto each other for dear life to avoid smashing into rocks! we also messed around with the locals on the rope swing that went into the river it was quite funny as no one was sure they could hold there own weight enough to avoid the rocks straight in front-but we had a wicked time. We then went to a local Monkey Temple which hence the name was full of Monkey-evil things with big teeth-I however managed to find a load of puppies so I played with them for ages instead. They also had a rotting corpse of a monk in there which was laying in waiting for like 7 years before they would bury it-not pleasent!
The next day we went into the park and took a long tail boat around the lagoon and saw wild monkeys and went into a cave of stalagtites and stalagmits (took me back to my primary school days at Stump cross caverns) the guids thought it would be really funny to turn all the lights of and run round the group poking people-Craxy Thai's-I did not find this amusing-we then headed back to our boats where we had a huge lunch and messed around in the lagoon all afternoon.
The next morning we got up early and headed off to Krabi-I was so excited as the weather was amazing and I hadn't yet seen the sea! Krabi was I have to say incredible, Railey beach was just glorious-no photo does it justice. We spent 3 nights here and it was lovely to relax for a few days and work on the tan! The sea was so warm but a few of the guys got stung by the evil jelly fish - obviously I offered to piss on them but they all politly declined! was really sad to leave yesterday and cross the border to Malaysia and now we are here in Penang which is a funny little colonial island!
Having such a good time guys and so sorry I haven't had time to email you individually, hope all is well back home would be great to hear from you all and have a little update as to what Ive been missing out on at home.
Lots of love and kisses
Sammy Fanny Anne xxxx
