Thats it done and dusted the tour is officially finito and Im all on my lonesome in Singapore look how far Ive travelled!!!!!(and mainly all by public transport) Ive had the most amazing time-seen and done so much and met some awsome people!
The last week has been a busy one travelling through malaysia-started in Penang then on to the Cameron Highlands- which was cold- saw tea and strawberry plantations which were interesting but not as much fun as the Insect park we went to after!
From the Cameron Highlands we ventured down to Kuala Lumpur and arrived relatively late on in the evening (this is when I had my first of 5 Mcdonalds-Ive had one every day since) Its terrible but its so good to have a little western food in my stomach! Saw the Petronas Towers by night which were absolutely incredible all lit up like two beakons! The next day we explored a little of KL city and went to the National Mosque and the communications tower where we got all excited coz you could dress up in traditional Malay costume and have your photo taken! I thought I looked lovely however in the photo I look very heavily pregnant (not that there is anything wrong with that Kate x)
The next day we were off again-this time to Malaka where we saw more (not so) interesting colonial stuff. The most fun was the afternoon when we got Rickshaws around the city stopping off at points off interest-our rickshaw was a ganster one who insisted on playing R&B all the way round, he then asked me if I would like to cycle instead (I think he caught a glimpse of my buns of steel!) I couldn't resist, so with Amelia screeming in the passenger seat we took off through the streets of Malaka! so much fun until Amelia had a go and crashed us into a curb and the only fire hydrant on the entire street nearly writing off the poor Malakans lively hood-very funny though. We then went bowling that evening where I obviously kicked ass and also got chatted up by a big scary Malaysian lesbian!!!
After Malaka we ended up here in the lovely Singapore-so suprised at how small and clean this place is and how little there is to do! went to Ministry of Sound last night and got absolutely plastered ended up drinking Champagne in the VIP with an Everton player don't think he realised we were a bunch of smelly travellers-realised it was time to leave at 4am when I asked him where abouts in London Everton was!!! DOH!!! hehe
Spent today feeling very sick and sweaty and wondering what to do next as the tour is finished and we've been abandoned-all the guys are now off to Australlia so its a bit s*** but glad I met then and definately had a good tour. Have booked my flight for Phuket tomorrow where Im going in search of relaxation and hopefully sunshine too!
So just wanted to say love to you all, missing you and keep in touch.
PS more pics coming up soon but if you can't hold off the excitment theres some on facebook.
