This is my first official blog entry that i am writing hungover after a few to many local beers and a few extremely strong 'buckets'.
The flight was fine, i met an older couple who were setting off on an adventure to bangkok and australia for a few months who were very chatty and put me at ease for what was going to come in the following months. After getting of the plane I had to make my way into bangkok. Waiting for the bus to arrive i met another couple of like minded solo travelers, called Ryan and Ian. Luckily enough Ryan was staying at the same hostel which made finding it allot less daunting.
After finding the hostel and having a quick wash we headed out for a beer and food. The food that is on offer is plentifull with lots of little carts offering up all types of fresh fruit and noodles all at a very small price of about 30 baht which is about 50p. The smells are fantastic apart from when you get a big old wiff of sewer. Sitting having a beer you are constantly bombarded by old ladies trying to sell you wooden frogs and bracelets. We then found ourselves having one of those fish spas where all the little fish nip at your feet which was weird especially when it came free with a drink.lol.
Today i havent done to much apart from catch up on sleep and have a wander around the streets to see what bangkok has to offer. Tomorrow i am going to go for a shop and might try catch some Thai kick boxing in the evening and maybe a Thai massage for a couple of quid, before i head off on my tour around northern Thailand on sat.
First impressions of Bangkok are that the main areas are very westernized and run down in places however the food and things to do are great!
I will probably update this blog in about a weeks time when i have more interesting things to talk about.
Much love xx
