Hong Kong International, Paterson Street, Hong Kong Island., Hong Kong
Monday & Tuesday
Got on the plane, thought it would be really cramped however I had know one sitting next to me and next to the window was a backpacker called Clare and we just chatted about our travels. Coq au vin was for tea and I had a continental breakfast in the morning. Slept most of the flight so it didn't seem to be too long.
As I arrived at the terminal I could see the smog and I could really smell the noodles in the air !
Finally when the taxi driver knew where I wanted to go I remarked how humid and hot it was, it didn't help having a hoody or gilet, so he said "you want air con", "yes please!"... Down his window went, "oh".
Along the journey I seen the buildings, which were so big, I couldn't believe how vast they were.
Got to Paterson St and booked into the hostel, got taken down the road to another building where my room was. It has a large single bed, flat screen tv, air con and my very own flip flops :D.
*UPDATE*
Wednesday
Slept in until the afternoon as very jet lagged today, after I had gotten up I mooched around the local area, realised I was in quite an up market district, with LV, Chanel, Dior etc right outside my door !
For dinner I had a chicken curry and a pint of Guiness (nom!) went back to my room afterwards then went to Lan Kwai Fong, a local area with clubs to see if I could meet a few people as the people in the hostel are pretty boring and antisocial.
Met some guys from the Electronics Fair had a drink with them and decided to go back to my room as still really tired.
Thursday
Did some more mooching, had McDonalds breakfast and went on the tube today, was really good and clean down there, I was just a little nervous being underground.
Lunch I had pork noodles which were really tasty.
Went to central and bought some khaki jeans from H&M, they fit fine just a little bit like nazi trousers where they flare between your hip and knee :-/ .
Went to the same pub again for dinner and today had bangers and mash with onion gravy.
Waddled back to my room and watched Chinese TV, so almost speak the lingo perfectly now !
Friday
For breakfast I had scrambled egg and muffin then beef & noodles in fish gravy, it was very very salty.
Spoke to some people on Facebook that I met on Wednesday and decided to go LKF again.
Went to a club called Azure on the 29th floor of a building was really good views and music. Met two Chinese guys there that went to Uni at Warwick and live in Leamington :o the chances !
Went to another club called Beijing costs $500 to get in but for some reason I was an exception and got in for free ?! :-D was with a guy from Manchester and kept buying me drinks on his business bank card, he was proper rat arsed, got back to my room turned on the TV and fell asleep to "Minge the minibus" kids programme...
HUH?
