Byron Bay was our next stop- on the way the clocks went forward an hour- so for all of you at home we are now 11 hours ahead and we are still with the 2 irish girls we met- Marg and Jen
Byron bay was really really pretty and small- more what I was expecting from Surfers paradise. Again we got there late afternoon which meant all we could do was shop- and of course we both found something else to buy- even though none of us had the money and lets face it def not got the room for it in our backpacks. We met Britt and Latisha (from Fraser Island) for a little while, and then we headed back to the hostel and had another relaxing evening with cups of tea and chocolate mmmmmmm.
The next day was a beach day- and this was actually the first time we had relaxed on a beach in aus and it was really nice, and we even had a swim at the pool at the hostel- a relaxing day is just what we needed and Byron Bay is the perfect place for it. It is full of hippies and surfers and people are so relaxed. That evening we just attempted to update our blog- but there was so much to do and that is why I am doing it now- lol. We also tried to sort a few things out for when we get to China as we don't feel like we have organised anything- so we got the hostel booked and confirmed things about our trip- phew- and you will all be happy to know we have checked that we only have the one flight this time.
The next day was another relaxing day- I walked to the light house which was a very long and hot walk and took 2 hours to get there and back- but it was worth it- i saw a huge lizzard thing and nearly stepped on it- not so nice. While I was at the lighthouse Tess and Jen went to the beach and I met them there later. Forthe rest of the afternoon we chilled at the pool and now we are updating the blog again- nearly done- woooo.
We are getting on a night bus tonight to sydney and will update later- hope you all have had fun reading this.
