Hello again peeps! Jus another quick journal for you. If you aint been on the blog for a while we also uploaded some other photos and another journal entry you might wanna check out not too long ago! Weve also put a few more pics with this update!
Well we last updated in Mexico city, while we were there we just chilled really taking in the local sights. The hostel was gr8, the rooftop bar was a favourite especially on tequila night!
So from there we headed 2hours south east of Mexico city to a place called Puebla. This place was ace really chilled with lots of things to see and do. On our first day there we were approached by a couple of Mexican students learning English! So we got chatting and they kindly took us to all the best places to vist in and around Puebla-including things we wouldnt have seen otherwise! So hi Emilio, Yasmin and Ivan and thanks! We visited a small town called Cholula where the widest pyramid in the world is-even wider than the Egyptian ones! The top had great views of the town and a volcano! Emilio also convinced me to try a local delicasy.............Grasshoppers! I had a few but its no Sunday Roast let me tell you that! Kez even tried half of one-she didnt want to eat its head, lol! Emilio(the English teacher) was munching them down like there was no tomorrow! We spent three quality days in puebla touring the museums etc. We even had dinner at Costco-slightly bizzar!
So next we jumped on another bus for a thrilling 9hour drive to Villahermosa. We only really stayed as a stop off point but the day we had there was cool! We visited this park which had a zoo in it, a museum and a jungle walk with all the old statues from ancient mexican civilizations. Some of them were over 1000years old, unbelievable. We saw all the local wildlife monkeys, crocodiles, jaguars etc! One black jaguar looked like a giant Ninja (if this makes no sense to you and sounds wierd dont worry, kez has a black cat called Ninja!)
Anyways from there we headed to Campeche where we are now! A coastal town with great views. This place is quality, so laid back and lots to do so were havin a great time! From here we head to Merida for a while then Playa del Carmen and finally Cancun! Oh yeah, by the way we totally forgot to tell you guys-were coming home early! Dont worry theres nothing wrong we just had way too much time to travel Mexico plus we are now very poor! A massive thanks to the bank of Barb and Steve we may have had to resort to becoming vagabonds if it werent for you! So we get home at the end of April but do not dispair we will try and update the blog twice before we get back.
So u guys better leave us some messages and have a good read n look at the photos. For now Hasta Luego (see you later). Love to all! S n K.
