As usual we will be entering our journals separately. To start it off it's Kez! Hope you are all well back in England. Have been thinking about you alot, between sightseeing, eating and drinking! We arrived in Sydney last wednesday from Perth and were met by My Granddad and Beryl. We are staying with them at their house until the 10th. They have shown us alot of places in and around Sydney in the short time we have been here. Unfortuntely the weather hasn't been superb- i'm writing this as it is chucking it down outside! However, being typically British the times it has been sunny we have been burnt.
We have visited all the hot spots- such as Bondi beach, the blue mountains, and of course Sydney harbour. All of which are fantastic! The views from the harbour of the bridge and the opera house are breathtaking- you can view the photo's( honestly you can this time)
You will all be pleased to hear that i have spotted another celebrity, and this time i even spoke to them. I will set the scene.... We are stood outside a shopping mall just outside Sydney when Sam says to me "look over there it's Irene from Home and Away", i turn around and no joke it was her! So to Sam's dismay i went over to talk to her, and she was really nice! Whilst i was talking to her Sam ran off inside the mall so embarrassed to be my boyfriend at that point!
Australia hasn't cracked up to be what we English stereotype about it- it's not been that hot, and there isn't giant killer spiders everywhere! well, we haven't seen any as yet. Touch wood!!!
oooh Chloe- Sam has seen a possum. I'm really annoyed as i haven't as yet but things keep going walk abouts in the caravan so i'm blaming the pesky possums.
that's all from me folks! so i will say goodbye until next time. Love you all and keep safe!
Hey dudes and dudettes hope all is fine back home. Were both great and havin a fab time! Weve been staying in a caravan at kez's grandads which has been fun, oli remember the comment i made coming home from jjb! Anyway Colin and Beryl have been very generous taking us everywhere and theyve certainly fed us up well!
i have now also visited the SCG and the footy ground in Sydney although New South Wales vs Tasmania didnt exactly draw in the crowd, check the pics you will understand. This will be of special interest to oli and of course Mark as he is the biggest cricket fan in the world now!
We also as kez mentioned visited some beaches although Bondi was nice we much preferred Manly(another bigger resort) so we have booked a couple of nights there. We went in the sea and the waves were great we were just missing surf boards! Kez managed to get taken out by a wave and lost her sunglasses!
We have now become locals at a nearby bar, i should expect so after visiting it 5 times in the last week though! Nobody knows where were from when they hear our accents, i think they just think were slightly slow and special! However we like to describe our accent as 'Unposh english'!
Oh some other great news kez has been offered a place at Chester uni so today were off into the city to celebrate with a few bevs or Champagne- well 'travellers champagne' aka sparkling wine! We are also gonna look for somewhere to stay while were in the city or otherwise we will have to turn into tramps-i think i could pull it off easy though!
I also send out a plea for anyone who may have seen or heard about the recent whereabouts of Phil Howland as me and Oli are starting to think he is dead!
Anyways peeps it's time to go- keep truckin! Don't forget to keep the messages flowin-who ever thought life in Derby was so excitin, well it is to us. We will write again in a week or so but for now, laters!
