Wash, Dry, Repeat
Up early to secure a room for the night and have breakfast. Got a long hot shower and worked on my online teaching application for San Antonio. (SO frustrating without all my paperwork in hand, but Kelly has been helping me a lot! Thanks!) Found a Wasserette (Laundrymat) and did a big load. Got an hour massage nearby while I was waiting that was really interesting. The woman focused on not just the muscles, but their relation to bones and used that to knead out knots etc. She also focused on reflexology, but didn't do hands or feet which is a first. The streets are crazy here. There is a lane for walkers, a lane for bikes, a lane for the tram, and a lane for vehicles (There aren't many cars). So that means when you go to cross a street you have to pay attention to 4 walk or don't walk signs versus just the one we have in the US. Crazy! The combination of walk or don't walk signs leaves people waiting between one side of the street and the other. Walked back to the hostel, took a nap and worked on booking my hostels and flight to London and getting a sense of the things I want to do while I'm here. Today was a nice relaxing break.
Tomorrow plans: Take a free tour of Amsterdam and go from there.
Things to do: Flower Market, Canal tour, Anne Frank House, New Europe free tour, Rent a bike and ride around, visit museums, Keukenhof Tulip Garden, 9 little streets shops, waterlooplein flea market, etc
