Day 30
I must look a wreck as the volunteer hospitalero offered me a ride to the next place 20kms away - Si por favor (yes pls)! It's the beginning of the mountain section so perfect to get a lift.
Whoops her car wouldn't start but she found me a bus - (taxis are a bit ott) so having a rest day hanging round cafes waiting - then a couple from our old town Matamata walked by - on the Camino too -Gidday!
See ad for bus but no worry - it was modern 14 seater. So now at Rabanal our destination - higher up, snow capped mountains closer - little stone village reinvigorated for the perigrinos - at an English Albergue so high tea at 5pm with little gems split with cream and jam - that's a challenge for a GF! - slurped the jam and cream off :)
Been to Vespers (the monks singing the nights prayers) - no, not getting religious but it is a profound feeling to be in church with the singing - good food so off to bed happy.
