Day 4 330am Lying here listening to a symphony of snorers. Yes there is heating after all but it is a huge heat pump above Jeff's head on the top bunk so he is on slow cook.
Sunday so no bus - would go to church but have already been to two pilgrims services - beautiful churches, much pomp and ceremony, but tough standing so long and I look at the ancient priests and think how many young boys did you fiddle with?
Jeff has had 2 long days (18, 22kms) and getting a few tweaks - so he is happy to potter along with me 6 kms to the next place.
Oh no reached the next place by 1030am so I ended up walking (trundling along) 16 kms! Huge day for me but easy track accompanied by other walkers of similar speed so good for my ego, even if we were last :(
The gem of the day is the Hostel in the Convent de la Trinidad de Arre which is in an 11th Century Basilica Church - run by a little elf of a Marist priest who gave Jeff and me our own room. No nuns left - sign of the times?
