The following morning we woke up at a more reasonable time had breakfast and got on our swimming costumes. Today was the day we were going to swim in the River Amazon. We headed out looking for pink dolphins to swim with. When we found some we anchored up and dived in. Initially it was quite eerie not knowing what was in the murky water below but as time went on it became more comfortable and everyone started to relax a bit. It was also nice to finally have a wash, even though it was in dirty water. We spent about 2 hours in the river following the dolphins before heading back to the bus stop to get our bus back to Rurrenabaque town. This again took a couple hours due to the sticky mud roads and we obviously kept getting stuck. Our flight wasn't until the following day so we checked into our mosquito ridden hostel again and went out for a few beers in the town before heading back to a much needed actual bed for a good night's sleep.
