The engine room of the sub. Actually the twin diesel engines only charged to batteries. The main propulsion was electric and could do 15 knots underwater.

This Is the hatch leading to the next section back. There were 68 bunks on this boat and they were squirreled everywhere. It is hard to believe people could live so close together.
