Today we finally made it into Perth. We caught the train into the center, with the plan to walk to Kings Park. Stan got distracted in the shops and collected a Man Bag along with other incidentals. The walk to Kings Park was more uphill than I remembered, but made lunch all the more enjoyable once we made it. Larisa gave us a tour of the gardens. The wildflowers were amazing. Today was very hot. We visited the Fremantle Markets - both of them. Decided I needed a restful day. It was NOT because we'd been out till late the night before and I can't cope because I am getting old.

Today was our first day of using public transport in WA. Easier than Italy as we could understand the language but I always find them poorly designed for non locals. Who knows how many zones I am crossing. Today was all about the Swans..... Well the first part anyway. It was all over by 3pm. Stan had to have a Coopers for breakfast as it was a rush to get to the pub before the AFL started, but finish watching the Aussies win their game in the T20 World Cup. Rosie O'grays had quite a few Swans and Hawthorn fans, but also had many locals who just enjoy football. Good time was had by all during the game as it had ups and downs on both sides.
