We've all seen pictures of Hong Kong's skyline. But the picture can only ever show a portion. There are sooooooo many sky scrapers. The never build one of a building plan. We dicided to take our bags to the train station early so we could visit the Pantheon before we needed to get the train to the airport. Checked our bags in and nearly did not see them again. When we went to claim them, of course our ticket didn't match our bags. As soon as we left the hotel we were, as usual in Italy, approached by Indian hawkers. So many hawkers and not one of them Italian. We chose a hop on hop off bus from the 3 that were on offer. We got off at the Vatican. Joined the masses passing the security check and the bare shoulders check to get into the basilica. Such opulence. The day began in a very relaxing way. Late breakfast followed by a late checkout. Then of to La Spezia. We had 3 hours to spend in La Spezia. Unfortunately it was Sunday so most of the place was closed. Not much to see...... On to Rome. The train trip passed lots of countryside not dissimilar to Australian – minus the eucalypts of course. Once in Rome found our hotel, again not too far from the station and found a nice place for dinner.
