The picture is once again somethinhg totally behind our trip. Yes, we´ve been to Macchu PIchu, but tomorrow we´re gonna allready be starting on a boat towards Brazil. At the moment we´re sweating our asses off in Iquitos, Peru. It´s ok nice town, I´m a bit down because I´m, having an annoying flu.
In Iquitos we´ve visited one nice Animal refugee and really interesting Belen slum and market. We were half lucky to get a local quide there for like 4€ for two hours. He didn´t rob us and took us all around the place and we could concentrete on photographing the kids. That was nice. But the guy said like a million times "I´m I annoying you? You´re upset? I´m a good quide. Don´t worry" In the end it got really annoiying. Plus he drank our water and would only speak english with us even though it would have been a lot easier to commununicate in Spanish...
But anyway. One of the most interesting Iquitos was simply going to get my hair cut. The maybe one hudred years old guy said to me in total seven worlds during the operation: "How you want it? Long or short?" My hair ended up being suprisingly good, just fine and short for the grazy heat.
It feels like we´re allready on the final round of the trip even though we still have Brazil and Colombia left in the continent. I just don´t want to leave from here! Well, at the moment I´d be happy to go to the seaside for a while to get some nice and cool breeze on my face. The plann to go to swim on Amazon or a lake near Iquitos got ruined when I got my flu and Satu managed to burn her leg on an exhaust pipe of a mototaxi. But we´re still happy, in one piece and very much alive.
