So we arrived early morning in melbourne and walked to our hostel stopping of on the way at Mcdonalds. These guys pointed out that our hostel was across the road which was lucky as we would have walked the wrong way! We dumped outr luggage and headed out to Victoria market and brought some veg for dinner as it was so cheap!

It was raining so we decided to do some museums, we did the Victoria National Gallery, (they like me here) which was pretty cool apart from this crazy guy complaining about these religious artifacts that he believed shouldn't have been on display and then we headed to the potter centre.
09/01/12
We visited Fitsroy gardens and saw a miniture tudor village, a fairy tree and Captain Cooks house that was apparently sent over from the Uk brick by brick! We headed back early so we could get ready for the Neigbours trivia night! The Neighbours bus picked us up, was so funny the Irish driver was blasting out cheese! The trivia night was on at the Elephant and Weelbarrow in St Kilda. We meet Steph skully, Sky and Chris! They were all really nice! Then we watched Paul Robinson singing with carl kenedy's band he was actually pretty good!
10/01/12
The weather was crap again today so we headed to the cinema and watched the new Sherlock holmes movie which was brilliant better than the first, before that we had Nachos at Mad Max the Mexican, also very good! Yum yum!
12/01/12
We did the Nieghbours tour today our driver Natalie was really nice, she was telling us loads of facts and we watched a bit of an old school episode. We saw Eringsburgh high the exterior, and got to visit the outside sets like the Fitzgerald car place. We then headed to Ramsey street, which is actually called Pin Oak street and people really live there! We then met Steph who plays Sky again she was lovely. I asked her how she got into acting she said here whole family were in the industry, i didn't realsie that Jason Donovan was her half brother. She said you need a good agent and to just keep learning through auditions! I met a nice german guy who was staying in our room max!
The Great Ocean Road

So we picked up our hire car from Thrifty and headed to the Grampians, then aparently back towards Melbourne Opps we went the wrong way and ended up in Ivonhoe weird town and not part fo the original plan and aprently impossible to get out of! I tried to ask for help in the red rooster he had no clue so we mamaged after atempting to retrace our route to get back on the right track. Tash drove then gem finished the Journey. We finally arrived at the YHA to loads of Kangaroos just in the back garden of the hostel very cool. We spent the evening planning the next day.
15/01/12
We got up early and headed to what turned out to be a dried up waterfall then up a hill that overlooked the town. We then headed to Mckenzie falls, i drove, quite like automatics! We walked up to the lookout then decided to treck it to its base, definitly worth it there was a rainbow coming out the base so pretty. We then headed to the Pinicles or what they called the Grand Canyon. The climb was hard work i was laging behind as always, we saw a little Echidna so cute. The view at the top was beautiful, i broke my glasses on the way up so i wasn't very happy when i reached the top. On the drive back we saw a Kangaroo in the road hopping along and some were on our walks through out the day, its cool seeing them in the wild! I loved the grampians it felt like real australia, it was a hard day but a memorable one!!
16/01/12
So we got up early and headed to Port Campbell. We stopped afew times along the way, the London bridge was one of the stops which i thought was pretty cool! We also saw what they called the grotto a cove in the cliff. It was 37 degrees, so very glad we had a car with air con. We headed back to the London bridge that night to see the sunset and the Penguins come in, we were a bit far away so we could only just see them even with the bonoculars.
17/01/12
Today we headed to Lochard Gorge where there had been many ship wrecks and few survivors, all the ships were submerged so you couldn't see them but the stories were interesting. Next the 12 Aposals or 8 some of them had been distroyed, the weather was a bit over cast so the pics didn't come out as well! Then we travelled to Otway national park and did the treetop walk, where tash got excited over some dinasors. We then headed to Little Aire waterfall and walked 2.3km to get there, such a hard walk, we wondered why there was no one else there, no one was crazy enough to walk it, we felt very proud of ourselves though! We then took the back roads back to the ocean road, i'm just glad the car survived it! We saw a Walibee, green and red parrots and a little rabbit. We finally arrived at the Ottway lighthouse the view was again amazing. Such a good day, very busy and tiring but well worth it! We slept that night in Apollo bay.
18/01/12
So we started our day heading out of Apollo bay and towards Lourne a small town where we had coffee, looked in a little book shop and walked along the front for some photos. I took over the driving into Anglessa which was a even smaller town with a dock. So we headed on to Torquay via bells beach which wasn't much to look at really. Torquay was really pretty we had some lunch then started our journey back. Getting the car back to the shop was an adventure, i don't advice driving in Melbourne if you can help it. You have to watch out for trams people and other cars that beep you when you shouldn't go, we nearly had a taxi in the side of us! We managed to get back just in time to get ready for the Moonlight cinema. We headed to the Royal Botanical Gardens and got our spot at 7 after getting majourly lost. We sat there for 2hrs before the film started. It was pretty cold but worth it, there were bats flying over the screen and the backdrop of the gardens and the city skyline was pretty cool, Twilight was a bit crap though. My first outside cinema, would definitly do it again but i'd take a blanket next time!
19/01/12
We booked out Tennis tickets for the 20th and wondered round town. We decided to do the Eureka tower as it was such a nice clear day. We stayed up there for hours watching the sunset the view was pretty cool. You could see the tennis scores through a telescope. I had a mini steak and kidney pie my first pie in ages.
20/01/12
We headed out early to the tennis, the weather was not good we hoped it would improve! Gem and Tash got aproached by the Dove people for some questions and we all got a goody bag full of dove stuff! We headed to the Heiniken area to watch Nadal vs Lacko and then watched Federra vs Karlovic on the garden oval area. We headed to Margret court arena and watched K. Anderson Vs Berdych was much better watching it live rather than on the screen! We meet up with olly then headed back to Margret court arena for a doubles match, then home as it was getting pretty cold! Considering i have no interest in Tennis it was pretty cool!
21/01/12
Today we headed to the Docklands shops, i brought a new journal for the next part fo our journey and a Bikini. We headed to the icebar it was sooooooo cold and sooooooo fun. I had the polar bar cocktail wish they did that everywhere! We were supposed to be in there for 30mins but our buzzer didn't work, i left after gem then tash was in there for ages determined to wait till the buzzer went off, so funny the barman said i don't think your buzzers working you've been here for ages, bless her she was jumping up and down trying to stay warm! ha
