Thursday was an awesome day in Montevideo. We (Jasmine, Alyssa, Ryan and I) visited the US Embassy. What an amazing place! We learned so much about the operations of the State Department. Veronica, the lady who coordinated our visit, first gave us a tour of the building before we met with multiple people from the different agencies (departments) of the Embassy. Everyone shared super interesting information but we especially enjoyed a few specific people. One person who Ryan really got into was the Economic guy. He shared information about the economy and Ryan got a chance to ask some questions. We also met a special agent who has great enthusiasm for her job ... I think at one point during her visit we were all considering the possibility of a similar career! Finally, we met with the Ambassador! It was a great surprise that he was able to take some time out of his day to meet with us. After spending some time talking with him, we were asked to pose for a picture. Since we weren�t allowed to bring cameras in, we�re trying to get a copy. After such a interesting day, we spent the evening packing and getting ready for our trip to Buenos Aires.
