Sorry guys about the major delays here. First time Ive had long enough to sit down. We left Chiang Mai on the overnight train on Tuesday the 19th after a minor thougt the trains might not be running but they were - yay! It was a good journey many hours of s***head played and several beers drunk.
Also got a fairly good nights sleep. We stayed the night in Bangkok which was cool as we had the day bit we were aware we had a week to kill we caught a movie the legend of something or over - an owl movie. At some point I managed to concuss myself very minorly on a piece of road long story. it hurt alot but Im not dead but probably have a stupid shaped head now.
We got a very early train to Kanchanaburi, and found our amazing, stunning accomadation; a raft room on the Kwai. Our view was exceptional - Its hard to describe how stunning. I will try and get some photos on soon but its hard to find connections fast and reliable as the last thing we want is too lose them or spend a minor fortune here waiting for them to upload. so you may all have to wait till we get home till you see a full collection. It'll give us something to talk about.
Over the next three days we went to the Thailand- Burma railway centre which was really interesting and had moving views over the cemetry. We went to the Jeath museum and to the 'original jeath museum' which was not but hilariously odd. They had a record player and called it a handy CD player. Ive never gone for a jog with a gramaphone. We also of course went over the bridge several times at various times of day. Once when a train was going over which was a little scary and also at nigh when they had lights on the bridge. It was a beautiful location and when looking sometimes hard to remember the tragedy. It was great fun cycling if not hard on our one gear bikes in the heat.
On the Friday night we decided to go out, we ended up at a bar called friends and met some new ones. We sat out a storm played international s***head and drank a little too much beer, OK way too much beer. Luckily we had left Saturday for a hangover which was necessary.
