4th August- Kings Park
Well I tried to be good but couldn't be sober when the other 29 people were very drunk. We got on the bar tab at Black Bett'ys a rock, Indie, Pop club. It was erm interesting.
So we all paid $10 and in return the bar tab gets doubled how cool is that so I sensibly drank 7 vodka and cokes for 4 pounds someone must be loosing out. Well the alcohol did the trick felt so much better in the morning. Unfortunately I managed to get in the middle of a fight or rather my face got in front of a flying bottle. Don't worry the bottle did not smash but bounced off my face onto a table then hit a table which more to the point wet my trousers. Not happy!
I wanted to cry but was trying to look very hard in front of my new found friends. It kind of aches now but is not bruised so I don't look like I've got a violent boyfriend.
So on Saturday I spent the morning in bed sleeping, then went to book a trip and then went for a walk around Kings Park. The weather in Perth is brilliant at the moment I came on the right day. Kings Park is beautiful you can see the whole of Perth and there is Botanical Gardens and lots of other stuff to do. Then I was in bed by 7:30 hardcore!!!
Sunday 5th August- Wine tasting in the Swan Valley
Got up for breakfast so I wouldn't get to drunk in front of complete strangers then went back to bed. Bus picked me up at 10:15 and we drove to Chesters winery. Obviously I know naff all about wine but this wine did actually have a plummy taste. I was going to buy some wine but then reminded myself I'm a backpacker and $3 goon serves the same purpose.
The people on this tour were nice there was 11 of us. Some pack-backers and other middle aged couples on holiday who were telling me where to visit in Darwin. But by the second winery everyone was best of mates.
Then we went to Lancaster's a bit more down to earth and here we got cheese so this for me was more like it. Cheese, wine, and a good looking bloke pouring the wine saying "yeah good for barbies nice and sparkly". More my kind of thing.
We then visited a chocolate factory and got to taste chocolate could the day get any better you ask. Well it did we drove to a a national park and the guide cooked us sausages on a bbq with Heinz ketchup and everything.
Two more wineries which were nice but by this point I'm ready for a nap. But we carried on and got back at 4:30 in time for a free beer in North Bridge. Played pool with a girl called Sue from Kent who had been travelling for 9 months, 2 Canadians and a lad from Wigan pretty good but left as I was pretty tired. Another early night I am hard core!!!
6th August- Lazy Day
Spoke to soon its raining!!! I've just bought a sleeping bag for my trip up to Broome and going to the cinema at 4:00 other than that lazy day. Maybe washing but probably just watch telly and films. Tomorrow I am going on a tour up to Exmouth stopping in Geraldon, Monkey Mia and swimming with Dolphins which should be really good.
Then I have a week in Exmouth and then go on another tour up to Broome. Then I'm not sure!!! I'll keep you posted.
