You asked me to find out whats cheapest item in tesco now.... well, it took me a few hours of systematic checking of every item in the store, but I did it. Here are the results:
Cheapest Items:
-1: Tesco Own brand Yogurt (8p)
-1: Tesco Own brand Chicken Noodles (8p)
-2: Tesco Jelly (12p)
-2: Tesco Chocolate whip (12p)
3: Tesco plum tomatos in a can (13p)

But then I got thinking..... what about the weighed produce.... I can get an accurate reading for them as I could use any weight. So I did another investigation into that.
The Cheapest item per kg is tesco fun size kids bananas (12.7p/kg)
closely followed by red onions (14.6p/kg).

Shockingly, the most expensive item per kg is Thai red chilli's at a staggering £38/kg!!!!

Good to hear from you and you sound like you're having a ball. Five weeks today until I'm in Honkers, woo hoo. Another busy week at school and of course as D, double J, G. Got some good stuff planned for the weekend and will try and call you when you get to Cairns.

Hi guys!! Hope you're all well (and staying out of trouble!!!) I'm having a really good time here, been great so far! Am in Perth at the moment, and heading off to Alice Springs on 22nd Nov for few days, may not have reception there. Then off to Cairns. Met some really cool people, travellers, residents, randoms, including this italian dude who offered to cook for us (think he was troubled by fact that we were having packet mash potato!! Has he never had to eat that>?!!)
