The last day in this city we tried again to go the Science and Technology museum and we flew back to Jinan in a bit less time than it took us to get here by train.
Because we hadn't seen the Science and Technology museum yet, we decided to go there today. Our flight was in the evening so we basically had the whole afternoon to spend there. And that is exactly what we did; the exhibition was huge with many different halls with several subjects and inventions. For me it was a lot more interesting than the Shanghai museum we went to a few days ago. The nice as well was that it was interactive, so you could do some experiments and see things for yourself and not only reading and looking at things. The exhibitions were about different fields of studies, like astrology, the earth, animals, environment, space, light, mathematics, physics and so on. That's probably why we spend the whole afternoon there, but still we haven't seen everything. So I guess we should go back there…
Another reason to go back to Shanghai is to visit the Shanghai Tower, which is the second tallest building in the word. This tower has the highest observation platform of the world which is accessible for the public and it has world's fastest elevators. Unfortunately we didn't visit this tower, so maybe if I'm somewhere close someday I can stop by and pay it a visit.
In the evening we had our flight back to Jinan, which was about one hour and therefor 11 hours shorter than taking the night train. It was good that we arrived at the airport in Jinan a bit earlier than expected because we still had to take the taxi and be back in the apartment before 11 o'clock. We were right on time and had just four minutes left till the doors would close, maximum yield of the day.
That was a good trip to Shanghai with an informative Finnish-Chinese evening and some cultural differences between Europe, Shanghai and Jinan. Now it's time to go to bed and start school again in the morning.
