The past two weeks have been exam weeks and were the last weeks of this semester. I've had five exams, which was okay, but the reports that we had to hand in took more time. The air was very polluted last week, so it was better to stay inside anyways.
Two of the exams were Chinese exams, one about the Chinese culture and the other one about the Chinese language. I think both went well and I have defintely passed the exams. The same goes for the Engineering Economics' course. The one that was very difficult though was the Money and Banking exam. Besides the difficulty I didn't have enough time to finish the exam so actually I am not even sure whether I've passed it or not. I missed out on quite many points by not answering 30% of the questions.
The photo here shows how polluted the air was last week. The air quality is measured in different ways. One of the most dangerous particles are the ones smaller than 2.5 micrometers, the indicater of those is PM2.5. This index gives a value which is calculated with a difficult formula, too difficult to explain. But anyways the maximum acceptable number in Europe is 50 and here on the photo the index number was over 400. Most people were wearing masks and so did I, it's just very dirty outside now.
Tonight we had a Christmas party from REAL English. They had organized several games for the students and we participated in there too. In China they don't really celebrate Christmas and International New Year so that's probably all I'm going to get this year. It was fun though. Christmas and New Year's Eve I'll spend in the train towards and back from a small village called Hanshan. I'll be going there to help in an English school. So Merry Christmas for now!
